For one of her latest creative ventures, Helen, LIZ HARRIS of Grouper teamed up with Eternal Tapestry drummer Jed Bindeman, bassist guitarist Scott Simons and a mysterious, possibly mythic third collaborator simply named "Helen." Upon cursory listens, the band's debut album appears to be an accessible, if noisy, entry into the shoegaze pop canon. In all actuality, it's a little bit insane.
