The jug features a rich two tone glaze in chocolate brown and warm ochre, decorated in relief with a lively tavern and rural scene including figures, windmill, and cottage details. The jug is well modelled with a ribbed handle and acanthus leaf terminal, typical of Doulton Lambeth craftsmanship of the Edwardian period. The interior is
